These programs emphasize critical thinking, evidence-based decision-making, and practical applications to address real-world challenges confidently. Services such as Summer Camp programs, school enrichment support, and professional development workshops for educators/administrators provided.

Kauffman Foundation Forum
Collaborating with the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation to explore improving outcomes for ALL regarding Economic Mobility and Data in the Greater Kansas City Metroplex. A collective of researchers, statisticians, and organizations convening on critical action-based theories that affect communities.

Urban Institute Upward Mobility Challenge
Twenty-seven city national study to research data collection methods, capacity-building and consensus-building that address economic mobility of communities across America. In Kansas City, MO a qualitative/quantitative study of over 100 participants was conducted in underserved zip codes of 64109, 64127, 64128 and 64130 to create a model for researching Economic Mobility Self-Efficacy.

Cool Kids Chemists in Action
Our mission is to ignite curiosity and inspire a love for science through an engaging summer chemistry camp that combines hands-on experiments, real-world applications, and critical thinking. We aim to empower young learners with a solid foundation in chemistry, fostering creativity, confidence, and a lifelong passion for discovery.
The pioneering work of board-certified radiologist John F. Ramos and pharmacy entrepreneurship by G. Lawrence Blankenship serve as a springboard of success for Black Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) professionals in Kansas City. Our purpose must be simple: to strive in STEM while creating spaces for Blacks in STEM. Black STEM Professionals (BSP) can use STEM spaces to improve economic mobility, diminish the wage gap, and provide income stability. For example, careers in Information Security Analysts and Industrial Engineers are bound to grow at 32.8% and 18.2%, with average salaries between $89,000 - 91,000 in the Kansas City region (Meric, 2020). STEM careers will grow 8-35% over the next five years. A qualitative/quantitative applied research study herein spotlights how we feel valued and acknowledge microaggressions in the workplace and what it takes to positively impact our burgeoning STEM workforce.
